Losing Weight, Buying Domain Names & Sir Frank Schilling
There are many, many people out there who are not fit or are over weight who have given up on themselves and DON”T believe that they can get back in shape. Sometimes it is influenced from external sources such as friends or family. Ultimately if they believe that they CAN or they believe they CAN’T they will probably be right!
This goes for buying domain names as well!! Over the years there have been many people in the domain name game that have stated that All of the good domain names are gone and that there was no more money or fortunes to be made buying and selling domains for new domainers. Well what a load of crap that is! Those types of comments have been proven wrong time and time again over the years by many new people getting into the domain name industry for the first time and making a very, very good living out of it.
One of those people that has done exceptionally well from domains over the past 7 years or so is Frank Schilling.
Yes I know I talk about Frank a great deal on this blog, but he is dam well worth talking about so I will continue to! I even think I will start calling him Sir Frank!
Sir Frank has just made a great post in the past day or so since he returned from his summer vacation and he reports on the Domain Roundtable event where he was the keynote speaker for the night. Sir Frank also discusses his thoughts on whether there are any opportunities left for new people getting started in the domain name game.
I for one totally agree with what Sir Frank is saying and have had some great success myself after a very short time buying domain names.
Here is a snippet from his blog.
The thing that struck me the most about DR were those people in the domain business I had never met before.. those unnamed people working hard each day to create opportunity ..Those who say “all the good domains are gone” and “nobody is selling cheap” were spending their day in the chat forum venting about the state of affairs while the folks I met at Domain Roundtable (who I had never heard of before) where out there creating opportunity for themselves.. quietly making their own good fortune and getting rich while others looked the other way or sold themselves on the misinformation that “this is over”.

They are SO not all gone. Admittedly I don’t find many traffic domains for the registration fee but I’m going MAD with two-word adult domains lately. The tasters and registrars are letting them lapse because they don’t have much type-in, but they’re good enough to generate plenty of inquiries and a few sales, so I know they aren’t total garbage.
