@Stephen

Already checked AustraliaMiningJobs.com & AustralianMiningJobs.com several years ago at the time I registered MiningJobsAustralia.com

"Mining Jobs Australia" is the most searched on phrase according to Googles Keyword Tool so I am happy with that.

In regards to

1) Adjective/Adverb/ to the Noun/Subject?
2) Noun/Subject to the Adjective/Adverb?

I don't have a strict rule, If the are new reg names I will get both if possible, otherwise on go on most popular way the phrase is searched on as that would seem to make more sense as it is what the general public are demonstrating is the more common way of using the phrase. But most of all it needs to flow and make sense when I read out the name but that may just be me ! :-)

And yes just so we are very very clear, Fosters Beer Sucks big time IMHO. Much prefer European beer and Australia Wheet Beers from a company in Fremantle Western Australia called Matilda Bay http://www.matildabay.com.au who make fantastic beers, check out the website.

Regards

Ed, forgot to say: AustraliaMiningJobs.com and even the reverse would work well for you. I didn't check to see if the reverse was available, but if you're getting 20 uniques daily, go check it out!

Try "Australian" as your subject too.

Thanks for your input, mate.

My good buddy Ed, I get ya on the domain evaluation.

Do you have a preference on how you would purchase domain phrasings?

1) Adjective/Adverb/ to the Noun/Subject?
2) Noun/Subject to the Adjective/Adverb?

I prefer #1, although on hot domains I buy both if I have an OOTB chance.

As far as Fosters, I said that as an inside joke, cuz my aussie surfing buddies said they never drank that stuff! They actually preferred the mexi beers, Coronas, Dos Equis, Pacifico, etc. Thanks for nailing that fact down for me with confidence (Don't drink Fosters, because Aussies don't drink it)

I'm interested in your take on the noun/adjective switch for domain phrasing...

cheers mate!

@Morgan

Cheers Mate! As you can tell I had seen one to many Premium Domains for sale that day that were far from Premium so it prompted me to blog!

Thanks for your comments and good luck with DomainVestors.tv, I look forward to seeing it all unfold.

Regards

@Stephen Douglas

No Stephen, No alcohol involved in this post! And just so you know hardly anyone in Australia drinks Fosters beer, that is the stuff we ship off over to other countries while we drink their really nice bear! LOL

In regards to your domain www.AustraliaWindEnergy.com I am not sure that it is a Premium name in my book but this is just one mans opinion and you may find a buyer tomorrow who will offer you thousands for it.
If I were the buyer I would go for WindEnergyAustralia.com as it seems to be more commercially / company name focused.

For eg. I own MiningJobsAustralia.com which gets about 20-30 type-ins per day for that phrase, If I had AustraliaMiningJobs.com I am pretty sure it would not get as many. I have been offered mid $X,XXX for MiningJobsAustralia.com but I am keeping hold of it for the moment.

It still comes down to what the seller and the buyer agree upon for a price and if you asked me 12 months ago if I thought www.ireport.com was worth US$750,000 I would have said no way.

The names that I am having a go at on this post are all the ones that don't even deserve to called a domain name let alone Premium. So there may be a buyer out there for your domain name AustraliaWindEnergy.com it just may take a while to find them, but I hope you get a fair price for your name.

Regards

Take it cool, people!
Their money, their funny.
There is a chance there also:
"crap" names, "crap" end users.
Everybody has dreams, ambitions, a whole life, etc behind the facade.
Don`t lose your time and energy with that.
Humanfellows too...
Good luck

Great - post Ed - I agree 10,000%! Amazing how many people don't take the time to understand domain value. If you want to be in the Domaining Industry - take the time to figure-out who much domain names are selling for. I always tell people to use DNJournal and NameBio to get a feel for domain prices before just assuming that they have a portfolio of premium domains.

Right on Ed - I've been meaning to write a post like this for a while too :)

also on the other side of the coin, contrary to your beliefs and educational level are those domains which are .us.com .im etc...., which may very well carry a high value one day if not already ie;, business.us.com and you are downplaying these domains cutting your own stupid nose off despite your face! A premium name for all the foolish skeptics here is WHATEVER the buyer considers it thus by way of supply and demand causing others with similar interests to job on board etc.. All of you CLOWNS who claim this domain extension or that one isn't good and this and that BS only .com .ocm yeah DUH .com is the trick will end up if not already but DEFINITELY over this decade losing out MAJOR league when the real intelligent domainers think outside of the box and get all those domains your putting down like FOOLS you are putting it lightly of course!

I so agree, and I love the colorful language!

SO easy to breeze over to the adwords tool and check exact match searches. I routinely find domains in excess of 5000 exact match searches for products and I know with exact match generic keyword dot coms I can rank them easily.
