Indian people are well educated and can write and speak good english. the power of india now is 50 % of its total population 1100 million people are under 30. almost 50 % of the same youth knows english and able to speak. Theres quiet a few big companies using the .co.in with heavy tv promotion. Also interesting when you use google over here the default is google.co.in. I just renewed a bunch of .in domains elsewhere in December for 20$ US EACH. Godaddy is already cheaper than that, and they'll likely have a 'transfer in' special to kick things off.
